Under the direction of Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Brundhilde Blömeke (Head of the Department) our main fields of research are concentrated on following points:
- Searching for markers of specific diseases and individual susceptibility to diseases
- Analysing the cellular effects caused by environmental agents
- Development of in vitro assays for testing chemicals, nanomaterials and proteins for their sensitizing and inflammatory potential and other toxicity endpoints
