The section entitled “studying in Trier” contains information for three types of foreign student.
1. Exchange programme students
The term “exchange programme students” covers those who study at the University of Trier for one or two semesters as part of an exchange programme. It is not possible for students who partake in exchange schemes to obtain a degree from the University of Trier during their stay.
2. Short-term students
“Short-term students” are those who independently organise their own programmes of study at the University of Trier for one or two semesters. For these students it is likewise impossible to obtain a degree from the University of Trier, as is the case for exchange students.
3. Long-term students
“Long-term students” applies to those who wish to complete a course of study at the University of Trier with the aim of gaining a degree from the University of Trier.
The websites for the latter two groups are currently under construction.
