Trier University Library is open as a space for work and study, provided hygiene and distancing rules are being observed.
Surgical masks or KN95/N95 or FFP2 masks are mandatory throughout the library, except when seated.
Reservation of group study rooms
The library’s group study rooms are in part reopened (23 of 32 rooms) and may be booked via the TRoomie reservation system.
Scan service for university members
Printed materials held by the library may be scanned by library staff and emailed to university members on demand. This service applies to book sections (max. 15 % of an item) as well as articles from printed journals or collections. Orders are processed from Monday to Friday. For copyright reasons, the service is limited to the said materials only.
Please note that due to limited personnel capacity, the material to be scanned
- must not exceed 15 percent of an item, but with a maximum of
- 30 pages per order
- and 5 orders per person and day

Scanning devices are open again for use in our reading rooms. In addition, most mobile devices offer easy-to-use and efficient scanning features. Various scanning apps for iOS and Android are to be found free of charge in all app stores.

Electronic resources licensed by the Library ensure a remote access to relevant materials. Please consult our DBIS and EZB sites for databases, e-journals, and other accessible resources.
