Application and Admission for short term students

In order to study at Trier University as visiting student (freemover) you must turn in an application to the Students’  Registry and you must receive the admission letter by Trier University.

Application Documents

The application forms are provided by the Students' Registry.

A complete application includes

  • the application for admission to study
  • an officially certified copy of the higher education entrance certification of your home country and the associated list of individual grades as well as an officially certified translation of such documents in German
  • should you have already completed a degree at a different university – please provide evidence of the degree and an officially certified German translation of the individual grades obtained
  • proof or good German language skills (B1 or higher)

Fees

Euros 50.00 (fee by Trier University to process the admission applications  and the evaluation of transcripts).

Application Period

Application for the next summer semester: First of December to January 15th

Application for the next winter semester:First of May to 15th July

You must send the complete application to the postal address of the student administration and pay the fee within these deadlines – otherwise your application cannot be considered.

 

Notice by the Student Administration

After processing the application documents, the student administration will send either a denial or admission letter to the applicants.

As soon as you receive the admission letter you can enroll at Trier University and start your studies.
