Call for UniGR Junior Fellowship at the Käte Hamburger Kolleg (deadline: 02.01.2024)

For the second time, UniGR is offering a fellowship at the Käthe Hamburger Kolleg exclusively for members of the partner universities

The Käte Hamburger Centre for Cultural Practices of Reparation (CURE) at Saarland University is offering a new UniGR Junior-Fellowship!

This fellowship offers postdoctoral researchers from UniGR partner universities the unique opportunity to join an international research team for up to 12 months. Fellows will have the chance to conduct an independent research project on cultural practices of reparation, while benefiting from collaboration with up to 11 other fellows at the Centre.

The goal of the Centre is to develop a transmedial theory of practices and processes of cultural reparation. Its work is intended as a contribution toward reorienting cultural studies and creating knowledge about individual and collective processes of reparation in a globalised world.

The fellowship, running from October 2025 to September 2026 in the Centre’s second year, will focus on the overarching theme of “Society” and welcomes research projects aligned with one of three key areas: History, Experience, or Nature.

Applications are open until January 2, 2025, for postdoctoral researchers in the humanities and social sciences.
