On May 19, 2021, the virtual Forum Work – Personnel – Organization, organized by the Research Center for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, took place. As part of the event, Prof. Dr. Thorsten Semrau moderated a panel discussion on the topic "Learning in Times of Change." He discussed with Dr. Jan Glockauer (Chief Executive Officer, IHK Trier), Lina Neitscher (Midwife, Midwife Center pro familia Trier), and Dr. Stefan Schmitz (Head of HR, Corporate & Compliance, Bitburger Group) what we can learn from the experiences of remote work and virtual collaboration in recent months for the future.
Following the discussion, two insightful keynote lectures were given by Prof. Dr. Katrin Muehlfeld and Prof. Dr. Thomas Ellwart on the topics "Why We Sometimes Stand in Our Own Way When Learning" and "Learning in Teams: Preserving, Changing, and Shaping with Task Structure, Experience, and Security."
