The Käte Hamburger Centre for Cultural Practices of Reparation (CURE) at Saarland University is announcing a new UniGR Fellowship!

The UniGR Fellowship offers postdoctoral researchers from UniGR partner universities the opportunity to be part of an international research team for up to 12 months and to carry out their own project in the context of studying cultural practices of reparation, in exchange with up to 11 other fellows of the Centre.

The aim of the Centre is to develop a transmedial theory of cultural practices and processes of reparation. In doing so, it contributes to reorienting the humanities and cultural studies and generates knowledge about individual and collective processes of reparation in a globalized world.

The advertised fellowship runs under the annual theme “Body” over the Centre’s third year (October 2026 to September 2027) and focuses on the three program areas: History, Experience, and Nature.

Applications are open until 15 December 2025 for scholars in the humanities and cultural studies who have completed a PhD and are working on relevant research projects.
