Orientation for new students take place one week before the start of classes at Trier University and signals the start of your studies.
Orientation provides an opportunity to explore the campus, get to know other students and professors/lecturers as well as ask questions. There is a lot to be gained by taking part!
For a successful start to your studies, we highly recommend attending the different introductory events hosted by your degree programme, a subsequent tour of campus, and taking part in other events offered by various campus groups.
Preparing for orientation – what you can do now:
- look up the time and date for the introductory events for your degree programme (or programmes)and register for them in PORTA.
- check out the social programme that offers you the opportunity to get to know the campus as well as the various groups and opportunities available.
- put together a study plan with the help of this guide. Just give it a try, you can’t go wrong and don’t worry as it does not need to be done before orientation.
