Experimental study - Investigating the hormonal, behavioural, and physiological responses to competition.
Overview
We will study how the human body responds to competition for resources in the lab, by measuring hormonal, behavioural, and physiological responses to a lab game competition. We will also explore possible individual differences across personality traits.
Requirements
- Complete thesis in English
- Interest in social and/or biological psychology
- Basic knowledge of experimental design and statistical analysis and hormones (some behavioural and psychophysiological knowledge also ideal)
- Interest in experimental paradigms
- Ability to work independently and follow experimental protocol
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Tasks
- Recruitment of participants
- Running participants through experimental sessions
- Conducting statistical analyses as part of the thesis
- Writing of thesis
