Biosketch Glen Forester

Glen Forester earned his B.S. with a focus on Psychology and Biology at the University of New Mexico, USA. He then completed his Master’s studies in Cognitive Psychophysiology at the University of South Florida (USF), USA, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Emanuel Donchin. There, Glen’s research focused on using event-related potentials (ERPs) to examine aspects of mental preparation and memory, as well as on an ERP-based brain-computer interface.

While at USF, he was fortunate to collaborate with Jun.-Prof. Dr. Kamp during her Ph.D. studies there. In August of 2018, he joined Dr. Kamp’s Neuro-Cognitive Psychology research group at Trier University, as a Ph.D. student. His current research focuses on using psychophysiological methods to investigate episodic memory, with special focus on how context, such as acute stress or a survival-related scenario, affects episodic memory encoding.

Glen successfully defended his dissertation titled "The Neurocognitve Mechanisms of Survival Processing" in November 2020 and earned the best possible grade "summa cum laude". He is now at North Dakota State University.
