welcome to the Department of Computational Linguistics and Digital Humanities!
Here you will find all the important information for those who are starting to study on the B.Sc. Language, Technology, Media, M.Sc. Digital Humanities and M.Sc. Natural Language Processing programmes at Trier University.
Orientation Days
The university's orientation days for the winter semester 24/25 will take place from 14-16 October 2024. On these days, the university will present itself with its various offers, be it the Studiwerk, uniSport, the student councils and much more. The supporting programme can be found here.
Introductory events
- Language, Technology, Media: 15 October at 2 pm in HS5. After the event, the introductory slides can be found here.
- Digital Humanities: 14 October at 11 am in A8. After the event, the introductory slides can be found here.
- Natural Language Processing: 15 October at 12 noon in E45. After the event, the introductory slides can be found here.
CoDiPho student council
The CoDiPho student council is responsible for the students of all degree programmes in Computational Linguistics and Digital Humanities. During the orientation days it can be found in room B16. The student council hosts get-to-know breakfasts, pub crawls and study nights.
Pre-course
Parallel to the orientation days, there is a non-compulsory preliminary course on Formal Foundations of Computer Science. This is particularly suitable for Master's students who do not have a background in information technology.
