Japanese Studies in Trier
The Japanese Studies programme at the University Trier is non restricted (no NC). You can study Japanology at the Bachelor's level as either a major or a minor, and at the Master's level as a core subject.
The B.A. in Japanese Studies combines solid language training with foundational courses in Japanese history, cultral history and area studies. Building on this base, the programme places a strong emphasis on literary and cultural studies.
This Bachelor's programme prepares students for a wide variety of careers, ranging from cultural institutions and media to business and corporate settings, while also providing an excellent foundation for continuing on to the research-oriented Master's programme.
