Digital Atlas of Memory in the Greater Region

From May to December 2020, the project was funded under the title "Places of Memory" (Orte der Erinnerung)—with a focus on the city of Trier and the administrative associations (Verbandsgemeinden) of Konz, Saarburg-Kell, and Schweich—by the respective coordination and specialist offices of the "Demokratie leben!" initiative. Funding was extended until June 30, 2021, and the cooperation concluded on September 30, 2021.
Until the summer of 2021, the University of Trier Executive Board supported the internationalization of the "Buddeln und Bilden" (Digging and Learning) work camp held at the memorial site of the former Neue Bremm Gestapo camp in Saarbrücken. A key focus was highlighting connections to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. In the following year (through summer 2022), funding from the University of Trier Executive Board focuses on the theme "Making Jewish History Visible in History Education."
