current project
BatLab Trier
We study different aspects of the ecology and conservation of bats. Our projects contribute to basic as well as to applied science.
We currently work on the following topics:
- Bats and wind energy
- Enhancement of methods and techniques to monitor bat-populations and evaluate the conservation status for reporting under art. 17 of the Habitat Directive
- Quality of professional bat expert reports during the planning of wind energy plants
- Ecology and conservation of the Sardinian long-eared bat (Plecotus sardus).
Occasional smaller projects on varying topics and with varying partners supplement the research of the BatLab.
