Ninth Doctoral Conference on Environment and Law (ProKUR)

on 11 and 12 June 2025 in Trier

Dear (prospective) doctoral students and recent graduates in environmental law, we are delighted to invite you to the ninth Doctoral Conference on Environment and Law! This year's ProKUR will take place from 11 to 12 June 2026 in Trier.

ProKUR aims to promote exchange and networking among young academics in environmental law. At its heart, ProKUR is a conference by doctoral students for doctoral students: it offers young academics the opportunity to present their (doctoral) projects and ideas in a pleasant atmosphere, discuss them with other doctoral students and recent graduates, and receive valuable feedback. Feedback from speakers in previous years has shown that intradisciplinary exchange, especially between doctoral candidates, fills a gap in the current range of events for young researchers and is particularly enriching. ProKUR is accompanied by a cultural supporting programme, and in addition to presentations, there will also be workshop discussions, among other things.

With this call for abstracts, we would like to invite you to present your doctoral projects or current research questions at the 9th ProKUR.

If you are interested in leading one of the workshop discussions to present your own topics related to the realisation of your doctoral studies, please let us know when registering for the conference. We are open to new ideas and look forward to your contributions!
