Together with Mayor Wolfram Leibe, President Prof Dr Eva Martha Eckkrammer welcomed the participants to Trier's Town Hall on August 6: "The International Summer School at Trier University offers a clearly structured program. Take advantage of the opportunity to work specifically on your language skills. The supporting program is also exciting. Look forward to exciting summer weeks in the heart of Europe."
For the 51st time, students from many different countries are taking part in the four-week course program for German learners. Stefanie Morgen, who was in charge of the summer course for ten years, officially handed over the baton to Natalie Martin at the town hall. The employee of the university's International Office is happy to take on the new role: "What I particularly like about the IFK is that it's not just about learning German, but also about building bridges between cultures, sharing knowledge and creating memories that will last a lifetime. This course shows the power of education and how it can bring people from 35 nations together."
