Trier University Welcomes More First-Year Students
The University of Trier is starting the 2026 summer semester with a significant increase in the number of first-year students. A total of 493 students have enrolled for the first time – a significant rise of around 30% compared with the previous summer semester.

The international trend is particularly encouraging: The number of first-year students from abroad has also risen since the last summer semester, and the diverse nationalities enrich academic and cultural life on campus. The University is sending a clear signal of its growing international appeal.
