The Bachelor's degree programme "Language, Technology, Media" (STeM) is specifically designed for students with an interest in language and media who want to acquire the competence to use the latest digital methods for computer-assisted processing, analysis and generation of language and media in times of digitalisation.

While the BA programme focuses on teaching practical skills and application-oriented competences, the aim of the MA programmes is to qualify students for work in research and development-oriented professional fields.

The new Master of Science degree programme " Natural Language Processing " (NLP) is offered from winter 2021 and integrates data science methods with language, media and communication sciences. With NLP, the CLDH department offers a modern Master's degree program that provides a specialization in Artificial Intelligence, specifically Machine Learning and Semantic Technologies, methods for the analysis, management and generation of text and media. It is interdisciplinary, by combining studies in linguistics with artificial intelligence and offers a wide range of elective modules like Digital Humanities and Digital Libraries.

The Master of Science programme in Digital Humanities is the right choice for graduates of a Bachelor's degree in the humanities or a Bachelor's degree in computer science (or comparable) if they wish to study current theories, concepts, methods and tools for dealing with research questions in the humanities in depth.

Students can enrol for all degree programmes for the summer and winter terms. Admission is currently not restricted.
