Committee of Experts for Studies and Teaching (FASL)
The Departmental Committee for Studies and Teaching advises the Departmental Council, particularly in matters of the structure of studies and study reform. In cooperation with the examination boards of the study programmes, it prepares course and examination regulations. It supports the departmental council in the preparation of teaching reports and in the provision of specialist study advice, as well as in ensuring the provision of courses and the organisation of teaching.
It consists of one third each of the members of the following groups: Professors, academic assistants (WissMA) and students.

Budget and Planning Commission (HPK)
The Budget and Planning Commission advises on the distribution and use of the department's budget funds and makes proposals for guidelines for use (e.g. excursion grants, teaching assignments, tutor funds).
It consists of seven university professors, two research assistants (WissMA), one non-academic research assistant (non-WissMA) and one student, as well as the Dean and the Departmental Advisor (the latter in an advisory capacity).
