Leisure and culture in the region

Trier University – Welcome!

As venerable as the buildings of the ancient Roman city – as sparkling as the world-famous Moselle wine: Trier University is both an old and a young university. Located in the heart of Europe, it has developed into a high-performance, research-active and internationally networked university.

As a member of the University of the Greater Region, it offers students and researchers the opportunity to study and conduct research simultaneously in Metz, Nancy, Luxembourg, Liège, Kaiserslautern and Saarbrücken.

13,000 students and 1,400 employees appreciate the short distances between lecture halls and facilities and the personal atmosphere on the green, artfully landscaped campus overlooking the Moselle River.
