The international office can arrange for accommodation in student dormitories for a limited number of exchange students. Further information on the dormitories can be found on the page of the Trier Student Services.

Order to arrange for accommodation

We can only arrange for a room in a student dormitory if you send us an order to arrange for accommodation together with your application for admission to study. This “order to arrange for accommodation” can be found on our Online-application portalunder “Living”.

The allocation of dormitory rooms takes place at the beginning of August for the following winter semester and at the end of January for the following summer semester.

Informations about your rental agreement and the hand-over of keys can be obtained from the International Office.

Monthly rent for a room in the student dormitory: Euros 300 – 350
One-time deposit for each dormitory room: Euros 600

You cannot apply directly to Student Services for accommodation!

In any case where we are unable to provide a room for you due to an exceptionally high number of applicants, we will inform you by email. We will also send you details of alternative ways of finding accommodation in Trier.

Exchange students who wish to find their own rental accommodation, for example a shared flat with other (German) students, are themselves responsible for finding a room – we can unfortunately not help you to find privately rented accommodation.
