The European Symposia in Celtic Studies continue the series of five German-speaking symposia, which took place in 1992 (Gosen near Berlin), 1997 (Bonn), 2001 (Marburg), 2005 (Linz) and 2009 (Zurich).

The Second European Symposium in Celtic Studies has been located at Bangor University, Wales, in 2017.
