The Department of Clinical Psychophysiology is one out of three departments of the Institute of Psychobiology. The department's main duties consist of

• training of research students 
• "in vivo" research of physiologic relations in humans, especially with respect to stress and excitation of the autonomic nervous system. 

The department has available several entirely equipped psycho-physiologic laboratories.

Research: Startle, PPI, Eye blink Conditioning, Memory Research (especially stress effects on consolidation), influence of cortisol on cognitive functions
