Research focus:

My research aims in the exiting field of clinical psychology for children and adolescents are twofold: It is my aim to investigate functional and dysfunctional processes during (early) child development to enhance our understanding on how psychological disorders develop. In a subsequent step, I intend to incorporate this knowledge into the development of new or the improvement of existing prevention programs and/or interventions for children and their families. Hence, my research projects are always a combination of basic and clinical research.
