31st GvDB Workshop

The 31st GI-Workshop Foundations on Databases (Grundlagen von Datenbanken) will take place from 11.06.2019 to 14.06.2019 in Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany and is supported by the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI).

This four-day workshop is organized by the GI-Arbeitskreis Grundlagen von Informationssystemen in the Fachbereich Datenbanken und Informationssysteme (DBIS) and deals with the theoretical, conceptual and methodological fundamentals of databases and information systems. The workshop will be organized in 2019 by the Chair of Databases and Information Systems of Trier University.

The workshop is intended to promote communication between scientists in German-speaking countries who are involved with databases and information systems in a basic research-oriented way. It is intended in particular as a forum for young researchers who wish to present their current work in a larger forum. In contrast to the often anonymous atmosphere of large conferences, this workshop allows a much more intensive contact to other participants and thus offers, as in previous years, an ideal framework for open and stimulating discussions. Above all, young scientists benefit from this intensive exchange of experience.

Papers can be submitted in PDF format via EasyChair until 17.03.2019, 22 h CET.
