Profile

Mr Schild holds the Chair in Political Science/Comparative Politics at the University of Trier since late 2003. He sudied political science, economics, sociology and Romance studies at the Universities of Bamberg, Toulouse le Mirail and at the Freie Universität Berlin and finished with a degree in political science at the FU Berlin. A doctorate at the University of Stuttgart 1999 followed. Before accepting the professorship in Trier Mr Schild was research assistant at the Deutsch-Französisches Institut Ludwigsburg (1990-2002) and at the Research Division European Integration of the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) in Berlin (2002-03). He publicises on Franco-German relations, French European policy, political economy of European integration, and the political system of the French V.
