Autonomous Robotic Inspection and Maintenance on Ship Hulls and Storage Tanks
Interdisciplinary EU research project for the development of an autonomous robotic system for the inspection and maintenance of ship hulls and storage tanks using Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).
Our specific contributions to BugWright2 include:
- Conducting work analyses of the current maintenance and inspection processes
- Ensuring a participatory and employee-oriented design process
- Evaluating human-robot interfaces (VR/AR)
- Developing customized measures for technology introduction (change process) as well as personnel selection and development
