Biography
Prof. Dr. Blömeke studied biology at the University of Cologne and afterwards at the University of Hamburg, where she got her master‘s degree (1988) and her Ph.D. (1992). She did her post-doctorate in the Laboratory of Human Carcinogenesis (1992-1996) under the guidance of Curtis C. Harris, National Cancer Institute / National Institute of Health (NCI/NIH), Bethesda, Maryland, USA. In February 2002, she acquired habilitation and Venia legendi for molecular toxicology from the RWTH Aachen University (Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen). Since August 2003, she has been Professor of environmental toxicology at the University of Trier (Faculty VI).
