How to get to the University
The University of Trier consists of Campus I (main campus) and Campus II. Both can be reached from the city center by bus or car in approximately 10–15 minutes.
Directions to Campus II
Travelling by city bus (from the city centre)
Route 4 (towards Irsch): weekdays every half an hour, bus stop Universität Campus 2
Route 3 (towards Filsch / L.-Erhard-Ring): weekdays every 15 minutes, bus stop Bonifatiusstraße, then a ten-minute walk
Route 13 (towards Weidengraben): weekdays every 15 minutes, bus stop Bonifatiusstraße, then a ten-minute walk
Route 14 (towards Uni Mensa): by day during term time, every 30 minutes, stop Universität Campus 2
Route 83 (towards Tarforst): early mornings, evenings and weekends every half an hour, bus stop Bonifatiusstraße, then a ten-minute walk
Route 85 (towards Pluwig / Bonerath): early mornings, evenings and weekends every half an hour
Directions by car
Coming from the city centre, follow the signs for "Universität".
At the roundabout in the Kohlenstraße please take the exit "Campus II", "Wissenschaftspark".
Follow the signs for "Campus II".
If you drive through Olewig, follow the signs for “Universität“, drive past the main campus towards "Wissenschaftspark (Stadtmitte)" and follow the signs for "Campus II".
On Campus II there is free parking directly in front of the university building.
Directions by bicycle (from the city centre)
The direct route from the city centre via Sickingenstraße to Campus II should only be taken by those used to cycling uphill. Somewhat longer, but with a less steep grade and with fewer cars is the route via Kleeburger Weg.
