Content: | This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the economic analysis of the international energy markets. Different areas of economic theory are relevant for the understanding of this important topic. The primary focus of this course is on Industrial Economics. Based on economic and empirical analyses, political implications are derived. Although the economic approach is formal, only the basic tools of mathematics are required. Graphical illustrations will support the intuition for the material. In the summer semester 2023 there will be a seminar based on this lecture. In this seminar, some energy-related topics will be further elaborated. |
