Internships and Study Visits at the European Parliament

The aim of the five-month (paid) Schuman Traineeship is to contribute to the European education and professional development of EU citizens and to provide insight into the work of the European Parliament. As the traineeship takes place within the Secretariat-General of the European Parliament, it is not specifically politically oriented but instead offers a wide range of opportunities across many different fields and departments.

Recruitment takes place twice a year. Applications for around 500 different traineeship offers for the October 2026 campaign open in May. We warmly encourage all interested students to take advantage of this unique opportunity to enhance their skills, broaden their experience, and engage with a European institution.
