Project - VORAN

The Chair of Management, Organization, and Human Resource Management is a participant in the interdisciplinary research network “VORAN – Decisions and Behavior: Strengthening Sustainability Orientation in Business and Society.” Jointly conducted by the University of Trier and Mainz University of Applied Sciences, this research network investigates how individual behavior, organizational processes, and new technologies can contribute to the sustainable transformation of business and society.

The chair focuses in particular on decision-making processes in the context of biomimetic principles and emerging technologies. The research centers on how nature-inspired approaches, mental models, and immersive technologies can support sustainable decisions in procurement processes and promote the consideration of ecological criteria.

Robot Pepper

In the context of a master course, we conducted a project in collaboration with the Studierendenwerk Trier, considering the impact of using humanoid robots in service sectors  on employees. Additionally, as part of preparing the participating master's students for the job market, the project aims to impart digital competencies. The project is supported by the Nikolaus Koch Foundation.
 

 

Career choices of young adults

We empirically investigate the career choices of young adults, surveying students and apprentices by means of qualitative and quantitative data.

Team creativity

Funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), we investigate effects of using a foreign language on creative processes within teams. Experiments are conducted both in person and online.

Entrepreneurship education

The goal of entrepreneurship education is to raise awareness among students and pupils about the topic of entrepreneurship, provide them with information and skills, and thereby prepare them for the challenges associated with entrepreneurial ventures and intrapreneurial skills alike. Several current projects focus on entrepreneurship education at various stages of the educational system and with distinct foci.
