Daniel Luft is a Ph.D. student at Trier University working in the research group of Prof. Dr. Volker Schulz since July 2018. His main research interests are linked to shape optimization, espescially shape optimization in the context of fluid dynamics and turbomachinery, as well as variational inequalities. Also, he explores the connection of mesh quality optimization and shape optimization using the framework of infinite dimensional pre-shape spaces. He is currently working for the BMBF project GivEn, and is an associated member of the research training group ALOP and the SPP1962.
