Are you coming to Trier for an exchange semester or even your entire studies? Then the International Center (iZ) is the perfect place for you! We offer a variety of integration and support projects to help you settle in and make the most of your time here.

What can you expect?
From intercultural events and language courses to assistance with administrative challenges and fun social activities – our projects are designed to help you feel at home, make new friends, and fully enjoy your experience in Trier.

International Office, Trier University

The International Office (IO) supports the work of the International Center in a very special way. We receive financial support for our volunteer tutors and our projects. Furthermore, we are especially grateful for the diverse, non-material support we receive from all IO staff!

Universität Trier

The University of Trier supports the IZ in various ways. A special thanks goes to the staff of the university and the pedellists, who actively support us during events and set-up.

Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is the supreme federal authority of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its headquarters are located in the Kreuzbauten (Cross Buildings) in Bonn, with a second office in Berlin.

Democracy Life

Numerous initiatives, associations and committed citizens throughout Germany work every day to promote diverse, non-violent and democratic coexistence.

They are supported in this important work by the federal program "Democracy Live!" of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth.

Studierendenwerk Trier

The Studierendenwerk Trier provides financial support to the International Center. Furthermore, they provide us with materials for our events every semester, ensuring that events like international cooking evenings and the multicultural summer festival run smoothly. The Student Union staff are also happy to provide advice.

Evangelical Student Congregation Trier

The doors of ESG Trier are open to all students! We, along with the international students at Trier University, are always welcome guests. We are pleased to have ESG Trier as a reliable sponsor, who not only provides us with its facilities for events, but also supports us morally and financially whenever possible.
