Welcome to the winter semester 2024/25

For all new students:

The orientation days for new students will take place from the 14th to the 16th of October 2024. Further details, please check under "more".

First year students can attend the introduction to Egyptology and Classical Archaeology on Monday, the 14th of October 2024, from 9:00 am in A 7. The introduction to the Bachelor programme "Ancient Studies" will take place at 10:00 am, also in A 7.

Welcome to our departmental library (BZ 36)

Our departmental library of Egyptology (in BZ 36) is part of the university library (see button for directions). You are welcome use it during the departmental opening hours (weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; longer by arrangement). Please note, borrowing books is not possible because it is a reference library only (but scanning and copying options are available). In case of any queries, please contact the departmental secretary, Ms. Stefanie Schips.
