The Department Geoinformatics - Spatial Data Science is part of the Unit Geoinformatics in the Faculty VI (Spatial and Environmental Sciences) of Trier University.

Junior-Prof. Dr. David Frantz is the head of the department.

Our focus in research and teaching is on the processing and analysis of large amounts of geospatial data for a wide range of environmental issues, in particular through the use of operational satellite image archives.
