Topics
In principle, all topics from the following areas are eligible for theses:
- Environmental and Resource Economics,
- Municipal Economics and Public Finance,
- Regional Economics,
- General Macroeconomics,
- Computable Equilibrium Models.
A list of specific and current topic suggestions is available from the Chair on request. However, you are also welcome to suggest your own topic. We will then discuss whether your topic is suitable for a thesis.
Process
Please arrange an initial meeting using the contact form below. In this meeting, we will clarify possible topics, methodological approaches and mutual expectations. You will then have two weeks to consider your project in peace and quiet, weigh up different proposed topics and then decide whether to proceed.
In the second meeting, the topic and a working title are determined, the rough outline is discussed and relevant literature is discussed. This marks the beginning of the official preparation phase.
During the preparation phase, you will be supervised by the Chair Team, with the head of the Professorship in charge of supervision.
The final colloquium for Master's theses takes place with the entire Chair Team and interested members of the audience. The thesis is then assessed and the written report can be viewed at the Chair.
