Elise Rahn

[Translate to Englisch:] Elise Rahn

My name is Elise Rahn and in August 2020 I successfully completed my M.A. in Nursing Management at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Cologne.

Since my bachelor's degree, I have been working on the topic of "motivational" absenteeism. Especially in times of a shortage of nursing staff and staffing limits, staff absenteeism not only poses major challenges for a service organisation such as a hospital, but also for the colleagues who are still present or remain to compensate for their work.

While the focus in my bachelor's thesis was on the deviant aspects of leadership behaviour, in my master's thesis I concentrated on the aspects of job satisfaction.

The corona pandemic in particular has reminded us all once again how important and necessary carers are for the care of our loved ones. That is why I am personally very interested in gaining new insights as part of my doctorate, being able to point out guidelines for action and thus contribute to a continuous and sustainable improvement in the nursing profession.
