Admission requirements: General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or subject-related entrance qualification for health and social and training contract with one of our cooperating facilities.
Start of study: summer semester (01.04.) and winter semester (01.10.)

The Clinical Nursing Degree programme prepares students for the increasing demands of providing nursing care to people all ages. The course alternates between theoretical and pracitcal phases, wich are perfectly coordinated in terms of content and organisation. The Bachelor of Science and the qualification as a registerd nurse create the best conditions to enter a dynamically developing professional field. Students receive a salary for the entire duration of the programme.

Study contents
The degree programme teaches knowledge and skills in the fields of nursing science and health psychology. Students learn to make scientific and case-related nursing decisions and to plan, implement and evaluate individualies nursing interventions. One focus is in concepts for the comprehensive care of people all ages.
During their pracital placements, students work in hospitales, retirement homes and care services. Depending on their whishes, they have the opportunity to set an individual specialisation. In order to support the reciprocal transfer of theory and practice, students are regularly supervised and accompanied during their pracitcal placements. To optimise preparation, nursing skills are trained in the SkillsLab using simulations.

Application
Admission to the Clinical Nursing B.Sc. programme requieres a general higher education entrance qualification (Abitur) or a subject-related higher education entrance qualification (fachgebundene Hochschulreife) in the field of health and social services.
Students also need a training contract with one of our cooperating facilities for the pracitcal part of university nursing training. Here you can find an overview of the cooperating facilities.
Both requirements must be met in order to apply to university. The training contract only becomes effective together with the certificate of enrolment from the university.
Applications to the university are made via the online portal PORTA.

Accrediation of academic achievements:
If you have already a relevant degree in a suitable subject and/ or have already studiea a health-related subject at another university, it is possible for previous achievements to be accepted. This is done by the examnidation committee of the Clinical Nursing degree programme. For further information please contact the examination committee.

Please find out before your stay abroad wether coursework and examinations completet abroad can be recognised. In addition, a stay abroad must always be agreed with the cooperating facility. A stay abroad may lead to an extension of the study period.
