We are dedicated to the following topics in teaching, research and practical transfer:

• Entrepreneurship, family businesses and Small and Medium sized enterprises

• Sustainability and Performance

We offer courses on these topics as part of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in business administration. In doing so, we convey scientifically supported knowledge that provides students with a sound insight into essential concepts and processes. We mainly work evidence-based and thus combine practice-relevant knowledge with a scientific foundation. Within this framework, we also offer courses that have a methodological focus (e.g. statistics for business administration, machine learning or business analytics).

In our research activities, we adopt a quantitative-empirical focus. We collect and use data from surveys, experiments, or objective sources (such as balance sheets or patents) and evaluate them using quantitative evaluation methods (e.g., regression or structural equation models, meta-analyses, conjoint analyses). The results of our research are regularly published in interanational scientific journals.

We carry out cooperative projects with practice partners from the regional environment. In this context, we also offer student theses together with practice partners.
