Course Materials:

Most of the course (all Chapters except for Chapter 9) is based on the textbook “Essential Mathematics for Economic Analysis” by Sydsaeter, Hammond, and Strom. The parts that we cover in the course are presented on slides (►PDF). To each section of the slides a video has been produced. You find all videos on Stud.IP (Mathematics for Economicsts, Winter Term 2021/22). The exercises are discussed in class, while it is left to you to study the slides and videos on your own. If you have a good mathematical background you can just go through the slides. If your background is weak, you better study the slides and watch the corresponding videos. In addition, you may consult the textbook. It also contains a lot of exercises.

Exercises:Here you find all exercises (►PDF). Further instructions will be given during our first meeting.
