GIS-Laboratory

Head of Laboratory: JProf. Dr. Markus Casper
Supervision/Systemadministration: René Wengel

The Geographical Research Laboratory does spatial analysis and cartographic work. Geographic Information Systems and Science (GIS) are applied to solve spatial problems, help manage environmental problems, and map patterns and processes. The use of the lab is restricted to Graduates and Ph. D. students.

Installed Hardware includes a Hewlett-Packard 42” large format printer DIN A0, a large format scanner DIN A3, about 10 personal computers, tablet digitizer, laser printers, and a multi-purpose film scanner. Color laser printer capability and copy service is supplied within the lab.

Because the lab is not a public installation, you have to coordinate your work time in the laboratory with the supervision - Herrn Wengel .
