Laboratory of Geology
In the labs of the Department of Geology, University of Trier, students are trained and analytical work is carried out, which is intended to clarify applied and environmentally relevant geoscientific questions.
Our team can draw on many years of experience in the field of sedimentological and geochemical analysis as part of interdisciplinary projects (including numerous DFG projects). In analytical questions, we work closely with employees of the Mineralogical Institute and Institute for Environmental Geochemistry of the University of Heidelberg, the Geochemical Institute of the University of Göttingen, the Alfred Wegener Institute in Bremerhaven and the Geo Research Center Potsdam. Due to the research character of our institution, we can also take individual wishes from partners or clients with regard to the analytics into consideration or develop individual solutions.
