FAQ and communication notes

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Bonus points

In the basic statistics course, as well as individual other courses, bonus points are sometimes awarded for the associated exams. Information will be published in the course or in Stud.IP for the respective current course. Please note that you must register for this in the respective course in PORTA. Due to the current high number of students, we are unable to provide individual explanations by e-mail - we ask for your understanding.
  • Exam inspection

At the beginning of the new semester, we offer exam reviews for the previous main exams and repeat exams in statistics. Please check our homepage and the notice board on the third floor of the C-building at the appropriate time.
  • Office hours

Appointments for Prof. Dr. Münnich's consultation hours are only available after prior registration by e-mail to the chair's secretary's office (statistikuni-trierde), stating the question or concern.
  • Preferential correction

Since the introduction of e-exams in statistics, rush corrections are no longer offered. Due to the greatly shortened correction phase, this is no longer necessary.
  • Questions about the examination regulations

Please contact the HPA! We cannot and may not provide advice on legal issues.

Communication advice

Please contact us using your university account (XYZuni-trierde) which you receive with your enrollment!

We will be happy to answer your inquiries, but ask you to observe some generally applicable rules for correspondence:

  • Please use a salutation. This way we feel personally addressed and know immediately whether we are really meant. It happens time and again that we receive e-mails that do not concern us at all. It's also simply more polite!
  • A friendly and factual tone makes communication much easier!
  • If you leave us a greeting or at least your name at the end, we can address you directly in our reply. Dear Ms/Mr XYZuni-trierde is too impersonal for us!

Thank you very much.
