New study published: Significant rise in dementia cases expected
With life expectancy continuing to rise, the number of dementia cases in Schleswig-Holstein is set to increase from 44,834 today to as many as 80,504 by 2060. This is shown by the latest forecasts from the AOK Scientific Institute (WIdO) in collaboration with the Chair of Economic and Social Statistics, Prof. Dr Ralf Münnich, and the Universities of Rostock and Cologne. Prof. Dr Ralf Münnich and his team will also help decide who will be required to provide information about themselves in the household survey starting on 15 May.
