Participation

Generally, every student who is enrolled at one of the Trier Universities or the University of Luxembourg can participate. TriMUN is a decidedly interdisciplinary project, which means any student regardless of area of study may take part. The participants should share an interest in International Relations and the United Nations in particular. It is helpful to have decent command of the English language, as the seminar is held entirely in English.

If you have any further questions, we host multiple informational events, where we will gladly answer your questions.

This year these events take place at:

  • Wednesday, the 9th of July2025 at 6 pm in B22
  • Thursday, the 24th of July 2025 at 6 pm via Zoom
  • Tuesday, the 5th of August 2025 at 6 pm via Zoom

Application

Any interested students will go through a two-step application process: Firstly, a motivational letter and CV (both in English) need to be submitted to the TriMUN email-address. Afterwards, a short interview will follow, where basic information about the UN or the participant’s motivation will be asked about. Then, within the next two weeks, the results will be forwarded to the applicants.

The entire application must be written in English, with the motivational letter being a maximum of one page long.

After we receive your application, you will receive confirmation from us. As soon as we have checked your application, we will contact you for an appointment for the interview.

Applications should be sent to trimununi-trierde.

The application deadline is the 17th of August 2025.
