DFG-Forschungsgruppe genehmigt

Research Institute for Official and Survey Statistics (RIFOSS)

The Research Institute for Official and Survey Statistics (RIFOSS) has been founded, based on a resolution of the Hochschulrat of Trier University from the 12th of October 2017. The task of the Research Institute for Official and Survey Statistics (RIFOSS) is research in the areas of survey statistics (in particular methods of official statistics), demographic microsimulations, and indicators. Detailed information on the research institute, led by its president Prof. Dr. Ralf Münnich and its managing director Dr. Florian Ertz, will follow shortly.

Data Science Master Programme

The Senate of Trier University has approved the master study programme Data Science on 1.2.2018.

The programme will start in the winter term 2018/19 and will be supported by the three disciplines mathematics, computer science and economics/statistics.
