The "Historical Regional Studies" section offers seminars and lectures in all degree programs and modules, primarily on the history of the Early Modern Period. The late Middle Ages and the 19th century, and occasionally the 20th century, are also covered. The geographical focus is on the Rhine-Moselle region and the neighboring modern Benelux countries, as well as France. Students with a local interest in Trier or other cities and towns are especially welcome to participate in seminars. Theses (B.A., M.A.) are possible in all periods except antiquity. The instructors are happy to submit initial suggestions.
