Field Spectroscopy of Beech Seedlings

We have used several hyperspectral cameras in a field setup (HySpex VNIR and SWIR, Telops Hypercam) to document the consequences of drought stress on young beech trees. The cameras were mounted on a 3.8 m high platform and attached to a rotation stage to record spectroscopic images at several times while the vegetation was stressed.

We also used the setup to record a diurnal course of photosynthesis of stressed and healthy plants.

Since 2018, similar experiments have been conducted at Scion, New Zealand using an FX10 camera and coniferous tree seedlings.
