Job advertisements as a Research Assistant

A doctorate is, in principle, independent of employment at the University of Trier. However, in many cases it is helpful to have a job as a research assistant in order to be able to carry out your doctorate. At the University of Trier, such advertisements are usually always published on the website of the respective chair. Just like other positions at the university, you can often find them here. But you can also go to a professorship and speak to the owner, as it is also possible to finance such positions with third-party funds. You should have a convincing master's degree (in computer science).

Enrollment

If you have found a professor as your supervisor, you will receive a certificate and you will then receive your doctorate at the University of Trier. With this certificate you can enroll as a doctoral student. Doctoral students also belong to the computer science department. Therefore, you can also take part in the elections for FSR Informatik (both when voting and when standing as a candidate).
